Its rich flavor begins refreshingly and mellows pleasantly. When prepared as a thick koicha, it reveals a roasted character, while as a thin usucha, it offers a fresh, grassy taste with a clean finish. It is known to be more intense and lasting in its fullness than Koicha Babamukashi.
