A Worthy Addition to the Matcha Shelf
I've been enjoying Rocky's Matcha Okumidori for a few weeks now, and it's a solid performer. The powder itself lives up to its "Deep Green" name with a truly vibrant color, and it has a fresh, subtly sweet smell right out of the tin. Prepared traditionally with just hot water, it whisks into a nice, smooth foam. The flavor is where it really delivers. It has a wonderful umami depth with a clean, mellow sweetness and almost no bitterness, making it incredibly smooth and easy to drink. It's just a genuinely pleasant, high-quality bowl of matcha. While it makes a decent latte, I almost feel like the milk hides some of its finer points. I much prefer it on its own. Overall, it’s a premium matcha that feels balanced and expertly crafted.
